Pancreas produces insulin and the role (function) of Insulin hormone is to control blood sugar Type 1 Diabetes = Pancreas does not make insulin Type 2 Diabetes = Not enough insulin Thyroid gland produces Thyroid hormone Hyperthyroidism = excess amount of Thyroid = Sleep problems, weight loss and sweating Hypothyroidism= less amount of thyroid = Obesity, joint pain, infertility and heart disease

Weight Management 1 - Healthy eating: • Do not eat fried food. Grilled, boiled or steamed food is better. • Do not eat much snacks. Cookies, chocolates, candies. • Do not eat a lot of food. • Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables. • Drink milk. • Drink enough water. Remember that %51 of our body is water. 2 - Exercise • Exercise often. Example: ride bicycle, walk, swim, dance and go outside. • Play a sports. Example: Badminton
