§ Complete your 2 Tea Bowls. § Your next assignment will be a step by step process of the Whimsical Figures by Artist Dee Schaad. § In your Visual Arts Journal, begin to sketch out your Whimsical Figure. Full sculpture must be 6” – 8”. § If you have Plastilina, you may begin your 3 -D ‘sketch’ of your Whimsical Figure.
§ Students will be able to create a Whimsical Figure in the style of Dee Schaad, using sculptural hand building and slab techniques. §SCALE 4 The student is able to create the whimsical figure in the style of Dee Schaad, heavily focuses on craftsmanship, and can incorporate their own artistic style. 3 Students will be able to create a Whimsical Figure in the style of Dee Schaad, using sculptural and slab techniques, with emphasis on craftsmanship. 2 Students are able to create the whimsical figure sculpture with minimal structural and design issues. 1 The student could be able to create the sculpture, but does not include reference to Dee Schaad, or includes craftsmanship, or has major structural issues.

Where did your figure come from? Is there a mythology or stories that are shared about your figure? Any Urban Legends? Must be one page, and possibly include any visuals or sketches of your Whimsical Figure.
