Objectives Students will: n Add “er” to adjectives to compare two nouns. n Add “est” to adjectives to compare more than two nouns. n Use “more” and “most” with long adjectives to compare nouns. n Proofread for correct adjective forms.
Rules n n Adjectives describe nouns. To compare two people, places, or things add “er” to the adjective. ¨ One person: n My ¨ Two brother is tall. persons: n My brother is taller than my mother.
Rules n To compare three or more people, places, or things add “est” to the adjective. ¨ One n Sally is smart. ¨ Two n person: persons: Sally is smarter than you. ¨ Three n or more persons: Sally is the smartest student in class.
