Object of research: proverbs and sayings of the English and Russian languages. Subject: identification of differences of proverbs and sayings in English and Russian languages.
The purpose: based on the comparative analysis of proverbs in English and Russian languages to identify the possibility of transfer from one to another. Some students can translate proverbs from English into Russian easily and find Russian equivalents - 44% Some students can translate them from English into Russian hardly – 56% Thus, we are based on our interrogation, we can say that the most ordinary proverbs among students of our school are about work and life, the least are about friendship.
