Company Profile Digicard Systems is a subsidiary of Ampy Metering UK Ltd, an Anglo-Australian company founded in 1962 by brothers Ken and Tony Payne. Ampy initially specialized in speed monitoring equipment, and from the late 1970's cashless card pre-payment systems. The company pioneered the introduction of card readers into electricity meters, a major input into fraud prevention for domestic energy consumption. Digicard Systems have been supplying card readers to the vending, leisure and utility industries since the mid 1970's as part of the Ampy’s product range. Ampy offers world class electricity metering technology comprising meters, metering solutions and test & support equipment. Customers can find solutions to all electricity metering problems from simple domestic to high tension high accuracy applications. In support of the above range of products, The Company has expanded the production, commercial and research & development teams to a workforce of over 300 employees based in the UK.

Digicard 6005 Contactless Reader The Digismart 6005 reader is a state of the art system that provides simple yet effective solutions for Vending, Leisure and Facilities management. Equipped with the latest technology it has the ability to interface with all latest MBD vending machines. Dimensions are almost identical to the older digicard range apart from the depth is 1/3 rd smaller. Designed with customers in mind the 6005 is totally programmable on site by engineers, with connection facilities to interface with a PC for full reports. The large two colour display allows advertisements to be scrolled across when on standby. Customised Digicards Whether you require a disposable paper card with a magnetic strip, or a plastic, rechargable card with an embeded chip which can hold unique Identities. Digicard offers full user profiles including rank differentation between visitors and employee.
