Sign Variance Background: Chapter 12 , Sec. 12. 07 of the City’s LDC addresses sign variances. The Board may grant variances based on Chapter 12 in accordance with Chapter 2 (notification requirements). There are two variance options: • To permit a setback for a sign that is less than the required setback, or B.
