PERCENT(%) DISTRIBUTION OF UNDER FIVE MORTALITY RATE 2. 44% 36. 59% 25 15 1 60. 98%
UNDER FIVE MORTALITY RATE §According to the data collected from the 40 health staff interviewed on my sampled data it shows that 25 staff member evaluated that the under five mortality rate is still high in the Zambian health system although the government is trying to reduce it`s health workers. The value of mortality rate under 5 per 1000 lives births in Zambia was 87. 40% as of 2013 so its reducing as compared to the data sampled which is indicating 60. 98% §Under five mortality rate is the probability per 1, 000 that a newborn baby will die before reaching the age of five.
The . sample distribution of incidence of malaria Percentage frequency 0% 25 25% 15 This shows among the total number of interviewed staff member malaria is being managed because 25 staff indicates that incidence`s are few.
Percentage distribution of Maternal mortality ratio Percent(%) of the maternal mortality 2. 44% 36. 59% 60. 98% 25 15 1
According to the data collected it shows that the maternal mortality rate is being controlled. In my data sampled it shows that 25 staff members interviewed representing 0% which says very low maternal mortality but on the chart are presented by 60. 98%, as per average it indicates that’s the maternal mortality rate is being controlled. Maternal mortality ratio is the number of women who die during pregnancy and child birth per 100, 000 live birth.
Percentage distribution of Malaria Case Fatality Rate among Children (below the age of 5 years) percent(%) distribution of malaria case fatality rate among children 2. 44 1 percent(%) distribution of malari 36. 59 15 60. 98 25 0 10 20 30 40 50 60 70
§Of all people who die from malaria in Zambia, 50% or more are children under 5 years of age. §Though Zambia has made strides in malaria prevention and control in the last five years. §According to my data collected it shows that the government in health sector are working hard to some of these challenges and if we go by the data collected it shows that the healthy sector have achieved atleast more than 50% which on my chart it indicates that 60. 98% has been achieved in the health system. §Children are the most venerable to malaria but malaria is both preventable and control requires multiple intervention.
Suggestions needed to be done in order to improve the situation at the health facility. §This is target 2; it was taken from the patient questionnaire and the section on this target talks about the suggestions which was taken from the patients on how the patients would want the health sector to be improved. §Because patients are the key point at the hospital, without them there can be no doctors and nurses etc. §According to my sample I gave ten questionnaires randomly at mansa general hospital in mansa.
DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTIC OF THE SAMPLE FOR SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH SECTOR. registration wait time 2 20% 1 Medication fees expensive 2 fees are high 3 30% 3 sanitation need to be worked on 1 10% 1 sanitation and lodging 2 20%
Conclusion In my conclusion I would say that according to the sections I had picked it shows that the health sector is improving day by day, because if we look at the mortality rate the workers in health are trying to improve the health system in Zambia. The research finding indicates that the health system in some areas of the country, will also give out the same challenges.
