COMMUNICATIONS/PUBLIC RELATIONS YEAR 2 PRIORITY 1 STRATEGIC PRIORITY 1 • SBCISD will utilize available, current and trending social media outlets to reach all stakeholders. YEAR 2 GOAL • Train the staff and inform community on the use of approved social media apps. STATUS [May 2018] etc. • On going training continues and is offered for individuals needing guidance on how to create their accounts, • We continue supporting the efforts of campuses and departments while they grow their own social media audiences. The next graphs show the district and the campuses and their social media efforts.

YEAR 2 GOAL • Create a user-friendly format for all district-wide webpages and mobile phone apps. STATUS [May 2018] • The Communications Department continues working closely with district’s Technology Department to discuss future plans related to the availability of mobile phone apps. NEXT STEPS

YEAR 2 GOAL • Promote and market the unique culture and climate of each campus that reflects its safe, caring, and positive learning environment. STATUS [May 2018] • The Communications Department will work with the departmental personnel to produce programming that highlight news and events. • We will continue to produce printed materials and video productions to further enhance current promotional efforts.
