PACE The trick to speaking at an appropriate pace is remembering that you need to speak at a rate that allows your listener to understand what you’re saying. Listening is not a one-step process; we have to physically hear what is said and then translate language into meaning. If we speak too quickly, this vital second step of the process is lost. TONE Tone of voice isn’t what we say but how we say it. It’s the language we use, the way we construct sentences, the sound of our words and the personality we communicate. What do you think of this voice? Man with the Golden Voice
CLARITY Verbal communication must always agree with the nonverbal communication For ex. a husband tells his wife verbally that he loves and cherishes her but then ignores her for the next week, his verbal communication disagrees with his nonverbal actions. Speaker needs to make sure the listener is understanding. Using appropriate and sometimes even using word-pictures, analogies and object lessons to ensure the appropriate message is conveyed.
PROMPT A prompt is assisting, encouraging or bringing about a conversation Take a look at the following website of prompts. Write one down and then write down a prompt of your own that you would use in a health and social care setting to get either a child or elderly person to communicate. Oral Prompts
REFLECTION Looking back on your oral communication, was your message received and understood? If yes what did you do well? If no, what can you fix for the next time you wish to send a message. Understanding how you communicate will make you a better communicator.

Her fame however is not limited to her music career, but has also been dragged along the tabloids after a incident on a night out with ex boyfriend Chris Brown allegedly hit her and Rhianna was applauded for putting an end to the physical abuse by breaking up with him. THE PARAPHRASE Rhianna has always had her name in the headlines, however not always for the right reasons. While she has had over 10 number 1 hits before the age of 22 (her first single being “Pon de Replay”), Rhianna has also faced scrutiny in the headlines over her abusive run in with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown who hit her on a night out.

Her fame however is not limited to her music career, but has also been dragged along the tabloids after a incident on a night out with ex boyfriend Chris Brown allegedly hit her and Rhianna was applauded for putting an end to the physical abuse by breaking up with him. THE SUMMARISE Rhianna has had a quick rise to fame, partly for her music and having over 10 number 1 hits before 22 and also because of her abusive relationship with Chris Brown
