WHAT IS FEEDBACK REPORT? Is a report that is written after a function has taken place. Employees or students often attend or organize conferences, seminars, workshops, exhibitions or other events. It is common practice to give feedback after such events.
WHY DO YOU WRITE THIS REPORT? To ascertain whether the function/event was a success and to have a written record of what improvements could be made in future.
HOW TO WRITE A FEEDBACK REPORT • • Present the report as an internal memorandum Write the subject heading in CAPITAL LETTERS MEMO FORMAT
1. BACKGROUND • Write what the report is all about • Who gave you the instruction • When was the instruction given • What was the purpose of the event
2. PURPOSE OF THE REPORT • Provide information of the event • Evaluate the success of the event • Give recognition to people who were involved • Provide a general evaluation of the event
3. GIVE A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEMS OR THE SUCCESS OF THE EVENT • Problems must be listed according to the information provided on the question paper OR • List the successes of the event
4. CONCLUSION • Provide the overall information on the event itself • Tell us how was the event
5. RECOMMENDATIONS • This should be written as solutions to the problems listed above in point no: 03 OR • For successes given in point no: 03 you can recommend that all staff members be given the opportunity to attend such events
