Kinesiology Proposals § Proposal documents received by SAAC on February 18, 2015 – Reviewed March 10 th-April 1 st – Committee voted electronically on April 1 st and approved all requested changes § Overview of course changes – Change course number and name from EXSC 365 (Contemporary Issues in Exercise Science and Sport) to EXSC 265 (Contemporary Issues in Kinesiology – Change course number and name from EXSC 352 (Exercise and Sport Psychology) to EXSC 252 (Sports Psychology) – Remove EXSC 382 (Sociocultural Analysis of Sports) as a course option in the clinical concentration – Add EXSC 252 as a course option in the clinical concentration 4

Committee Updates § May SAAC meeting – Evaluation of process used in AY 2014 -2015 – Identify areas of improvement – Operating procedures of committee § AY 2015 -2016 review windows TBD by SAAC at a later date § Proposals received by SAAC after March 6, 2015 – Departments can continue to submit proposals to Academic Affairs – Proposals will be forwarded and held by SAAC chair until fall semester – Department chairs will be notified in the fall of when their proposals will be reviewed/presented 22
