Affirmative Tú Commands • When we give a command to one person who we would use the tú form with in the regular present tense, we use the tú command form. • There is a different formula for telling someone to do something (positive or affirmative) than for telling them not to do something (negative).
Affirmative tú commands • To form an affirmative/positive tú command, simply use the ud, él, ella form of the verb in the present tense. • Examples: Eat your vegetables!=¡Come las verduras! Listen!=¡Escucha! Pay attencion!=¡Presta atención!

Negative tú commands • When we want to tell someone NOT to do something, we must use a negative command. • In the tú form, the formula for a negative command is different than for an affirmative/positive command.
Negative tú commands • To form a negative command, the formula is as follows: yo form – o + opposite ending + s Example: no comer Como-o=com+opp ending=coma+s= No comas!
