The Rule l Use commas in dates and addresses. l In dates, use a comma in any three part or larger date. l In addresses, use a comma where each line break on an envelope would go and between city and state. l In both cases, if there is a comma within the date or the address and the sentence continues, use a comma at the end of the date or address.
