About Ms. Rockett • 2 nd year here at Columbia. Before teaching 3 rd grade, I taught Pre-K for over 18 yrs. • I am a mother of three adult children. Two girls and one boy. • I have grandchildren and a grand dog name Minxs • Spending time with my family is very important to me. • A few thing I like to do is listen to audio books, music, walking and riding my bike. Attendance is important!! Every day, us teachers will take attendance during our live lessons. The district will also be tracking attendance. They will be able to monitor who has logged on to Microsoft Teams, who has joined the live lessons, who has left live lessons (before being dismissed), and if students who have logged out have logged back in. Attendance is incredibly important. Please make sure to log in to every live lesson (including Related Arts) on time and ready to learn!

• Envisions Math (Savvas Learning) • This connects to our math program. You will be completing assignments and taking tests and quizzes on here. • My. On • Read books and more books and then take some quizzes! • Renaissance STAR • We use this for testing and grouping purposes. Also, it is connected to My. On! You can take certain test/quizzes to raise your reading level – how cool? ! Websites & Apps There a few websites and apps that we will be using for our virtual teaching and learning. Some you may be familiar with and others are brand new! You will need your student specific log in information for these.

On, etc. Exit Slips • This should be done after completing the asynchronous playlist • There will be a new exit slip daily for each subject Grading • Grades will be given based on completed assignments (asynchronous work, exit slips, quizzes, etc. ) • Grades will be put in SISK 12 Assignments, Homework & Grading

Mute your microphone until it is your turn to speak. Any student found to be in violation of these rules and other district rules and guidelines will receive disciplinary actions as stated in the SLPS Student Code of Conduct Handbook. In most situations, this means: First offense—Contact with parent/guardian Second offense—Referral to counselor or social worker Third offense—Discipline conference with principal However, some violations and subsequent technology misuse “may result in a loss of user privileges, suspension, expulsion and civil or criminal penalties. ” Refer to the SLPS Student Code of Conduct Handbook for more details.
