Monochromatic • Mono means one Chromatic means color • It uses different values and intensities of just one color

Analogous • Analogous color schemes use colors that are next to each other on the color wheel.

Complementary • Colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel are considered to be complementary colors (example: yellow and violet).

Split Complementary • A split complementary color scheme is a variation of the complementary color scheme, for this arrangement, select one color and the two colors that lie on either side of its complement.

Triadic • Three colors that are an equal distance on the color wheel. Orange, green and violet are examples of one triadic combination.

Cool Colors • Cool colors give an impression of calm, and create a soothing impression. • These colors are blues, greens, blue violet.
