HYPOTHESIS Our hypothesis is that college students has to worry about schoolwork/homework, getting a job, exams/projects, and their personal matters, so when college students finally has free time most of them would use it to do other activities rather than exercising. We feel that exercise is important for students.

POPULATION THE POPULATION WE USED FOR OUR STUDY WAS MAINLY COLLEGE STUDENTS , SOME

POPULATION THE POPULATION WE USED FOR OUR STUDY WAS MAINLY COLLEGE STUDENTS , SOME FROM CITY TECH AND SOME OTHER SCHOOLS. WE PLANNED TO STAY IN THE RANGE AROUND 50 PEOPLE FOR OUR SAMPLE SIZE. WE ASKED RANDOM COLLEGE STUDENTS AND LESS OF OUR FRIENDS TO OBTAIN DATA FOR THE PROJECT.

DATA COLLECTION • FOR OUR DATA COLLECTION WE USED A SURVEY FROM THE 50 COLLEGE STUDENTS WE ASKED AND IT WASN’T A HASSLE BECAUSE THERE WAS ONLY TWO QUESTIONS ASKED. • WE ASKED STUDENTS JUST BY WALKING UP TO THEM TO GET THEIR ANSWER ON A TABLE WE CREATED. AND WE ALSO USED SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES LIKE FACEBOOK TO HELP GET OUR DATA. • WE DIDN’T WANT TO FOCUS ON TOO MANY QUESTIONS FOR OUR EXPERIMENT AND MAINLY FOCUS ON THE QUESTIONS INVOLVING THE VARIABLES BECAUSE WE FELT THAT THE EXPERIMENT WOULD BE MORE COMPLEX THAN IT HAS TO BE

EXPERIMENT • SO WE USED ‘TIME SPENT ON EXERCISING’ AS THE X VARIABLE BECAUSE ANYONE CAN SAY THAT THEY EXERCISE BUT ONLY FOR A LITTLE BIT OR A LOT, SO WE WANT TO SEE OUT OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO SPENDS A LOT OF TIME ON OTHER ACTIVITIES. • THE Y VARIABLE WILL BE THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE FOR EACH RANGED TIME OF THE X VARIABLE, YOU WILL SEE ON THE GRAPHS THAT IS LATER PRESENTED (X VARIABLE ON THE SCATTERPLOT). • ‘TIME SPENT ON ACTIVITIES’ IS ALSO THE Y VARIABLE BUT NOT FOR ALL GRAPHS, ONLY THE COMBINED SCATTERPLOT.
