The Ontario Application Process o o o All Applications to OCAS n Ontario College Application Service Application cost - $95 n For 5 programs – no more than 3 at any one college n Additional programs are not possible All applications are done on-line At home or in Guidance Application due date February 1, 2019 for equal consideration with all applicants (even if you aren’t starting until January 2019 Should be done before Christmas holidays

Admission Date o o o All high school applicants will hear their admission decision on or after February 1, 2019 Most applicants must respond to an offer of admission by May 1, 2019 or lose their spot Applicants should check their offers of admission for exact deadline dates.

Admission Requirements o o Different programs and colleges have different required courses – n English, Math and Science There are recommended courses as well for each program Admission may be based on: n All grade 11 and 12 marks OR only required courses n Admission is based on formulas individualized and set by each college Research on ontariocolleges. ca and on individual college websites – it is the student’s responsibility to completely research your program choices – especially highly competitive programs

Admission Requirements o Highly Competitive Programs n n n This is a program where there are more qualified applicants than the program’s capacity These programs don’t usually accept applications after February 1 Consider applying for another program as well Consider applying at a more remote college Strive to get the highest marks you can achieve (the cut-off could be much higher than the minimum marks required)
