I like my pictures to barely come together with teasing little details. Sort of like how the mind can’t help but wander, even when trying to focus on one thing. Artist David Greenhalgh uses torn paper and strips of paper to create beautiful artworks.
David grew up in South Africa and returned to the U. K. as a mature student, and gained a B. A. Fine Art (hons)degree at Cardiff College of Art. He then taught Art and Design in a community college in Plymouth. It was while teaching that he started to work in ‘torn paper collage’ as he liked the impressionistic effect it produces and the unexpected depths, tones and moods it creates.
