Establishes and Maintains Agreements (Agree) Four Parts of a Coaching Conversation Partners with the client and relevant stakeholders to create clear agreements about the coaching relationship, process, plans and goals. Establishes agreements for the overall coaching engagement as well as those for each coaching session. What do you want to focus on in stewardship?
Listens Actively (Importance) Four Parts of a Coaching Conversation Focuses on what the client is and is not saying to fully understand what is being communicated in the context of the client systems and to support client self -expression Three Kinds of Listening (Edgar Schein) 1. Self-oriented listening - what can I offer? What does this mean to/for me? 2. Content-empathetic listening - what is the problem, situation, issue that is being conveyed? 3. Person-empathetic listening - how is this person experiencing and feeling about the situation?
