Clubs are a huge part of Western Albemarle High School. They’re the perfect way for students to meet new people, share personal hobbies with others, and simply have fun.

The Club Process 1) Apply 2) Club Retreat 3) Club Fair 4) Tailgate 5) Check-ins
Apply ●Anyone can apply to form a club. All that’s needed is an upperclassman, a lowerclassmen, a teacher sponsor, and approval from administration. Applications are accepted at the start of every school year.
Club Retreat - Takes place in our school library during the second half of a Monday - Club leaders meet to discuss club logistics - Icebreaker games - Importance of meetings - Effective ways to advertise - Proper ways to fundraise - Plan for the Club Fair
Club Fair - Take place during lunch - All clubs set up booths - Opportunity for students to sign up
Tailgate - Clubs are encouraged to create booths at the tailgate before the Homecoming football game - “Best booth” is awarded money to put towards their club
Quarterly Check-ins - A way to ensure clubs stay active - Clubs report: - Number of members in good standing - Number of meetings held - Summary of activities held

Solution Our Idea: Organize and host events with the Special Ed program and our club members Spread this form of school-wide integration to other schools Get involved with special education programs around the county
