Closing Arguments: Each character will end the debate with a 30 second to 1

Closing Arguments: Each character will end the debate with a 30 second to 1 minute closing argument (½ page written) The goal: 1 -Review position and main reasons 2 -“Show” your character 3 -Leave audience with lasting impression by tying back to opening

Step 1: restate argument (2 -3 sentences) Forcefully review your argument by restating your

Step 1: restate argument (2 -3 sentences) Forcefully review your argument by restating your position and reasons. Try and not be so repetitive: restate in a new and concise way. EXAMPLE: “It is simple. Our kingdom thrives when we open our borders because [reason 1], [reason 2], and [reasons 3].

Step 2: connect character to topic (1 -2 sentences) Final opportunity to remind audience
