CLOCK SPEED MEASUREMENT UKURAN KELAJUAN JAM

OBJEKTIF : The ends of this lesson, you should be able to : 2. 1. 5. 1 State the units of clock speed measurement: # Megahertz (MHz) # Gigahertz (GHz) Pada akhir pelajaran ini, anda seharusnya boleh untuk: 2. 1. 5. 1 Menyatakan unit pengukuran kelajuan jam: # Megahertz (MHz) # Gigahertz (GHz)

CONTENT HERTZ AND SECONDS The clock speed unit is measured in hertz. A hertz is one cycle per second. 1 hertz = 1 cycle 1 second

I hertz = 1 putaran 1 saat

MEGAHERTZ ( MHz ) • Mega is prefix that stands for million. Thus, megahertz (MHz) equal to one million cycles of the system clock. A computer that operates at 933 MHz (megahertz) has 933 million clock cycles in one second. 1 MHz = 1, 000 cycles 1 second

1 MHz = 1, 000 cycles 1 second

KEYWORDS : Megahertz : • Juta. • 1 mega = 1 juta putaran per saat. • Per saat.

GIGAHERTZ (GHz) Gigahertz (GHz) equals to one billion cycles of the system clock. In relation with megahertz, 1. 0 GHz is equivalent to 1000 MHz. § For example, a microprocessor that runs at 200 GHz executes 200 billion cycles per second. This is what they are talking about if they say a computer is a 2. 4 GHz machine. Its clock is a 2. 4 billion cycles per second. § GHz is most often used as a measurement of a PC processor chip and power, with bigger numbers meaning more speed and higher price. 1 GHz = 1, 000 cycles 1 second 1 GHz = 1000 MHz

GIGAHERTZ (GHz) Gigahertz (GHz) bersamaan sejuta (billion). Dalam sistem jam. 1 GHz bersamaan 1000 MHz.

KEYWORDS: Gigahertz ü juta ( bilion) ü 1 GHz = 1 juta putaran per saat. ü 1 GHz = 1000 Mhz

Q&A m/ s 30 5. A processor (CPU) at _____ is completing 1 billion cycles per second (carrying out 1 billion programming instructions). In computing, it is very important that this signal remain precisely constant. 5.

Answer : m/ s 30 5. A processor (CPU) at __gigahertz___ is completing 1 billion cycles per second (carrying out 1 billion programming instructions). m/s 32 Rujuk gambar dalam buku Focus Topikal. a) How is a measure of how quickly a computer completes basic computations and operations?

Answer : a) Clock speed is a measure of how quickly a computer completes basic computations and operations. It is measured as a frequency in hertz, and most commonly refers to the speed of the computer’s Central Processing Unit (CPU).

b) State two measure unit in computer computations speed? Nyatakan dua unit pengukuran kelajuan pengiraan komputer?

Answer: Megahertz and Gigahertz.
