After Graduation Our Practical-Clinical skills are now a more essential part of job applications in modern medicine around the world how many of you feel happy with your level of practical skills? Procedures that an F 1 trainee should be competent and confident to perform: • venepuncture and IV cannulation • arterial puncture in an adult • blood cultures from peripheral and central sites • urethral catheterisation • nasogastric tube insertion.
