Climate Week (21 -27 March) Climate week is for everyone wanting to do their bit to protect our planet and create a secure future but it can be difficult to know how to help.

What we do know § More than 40% of carbon emissions in the UK come from what we do every day – how we shop, how we get to school and what we put on our plates § Small changes can make a big difference

What we can do - Paper § § § § Check your tutor room Does it have a paper recycling bin? If not can you make one? Is it noticeable so it gets used? If not how can you make it more obvious? Is it being emptied? If not can you as a tutor group make a rota to empty it weekly? § Do you know where to take it? § If not find out

What we can do - Computers § § § Are there computers in your tutor room? If ‘no’ go to the next slide If ‘yes’ check you have signs up reminding all to switch them off at the end of the lesson/ day § Do you have a printer? § Check it has a sign as well, if not make one

What we all can do - Computers Last lesson of the day remember to shut down any computers and printers in the classroom you are in before you go home
