What is climate change? Climate change is a large-scale, longterm shift in the planet's weather patterns or average temperatures. What is the difference between Global Warming & Climate Change? “Global warming” applies to the longterm trend of rising average global temperatures “Climate change” is a broader term that reflects the fact that carbon pollution does more than just warm our planet. Carbon pollution is also changing rain and snow patterns and increasing the risk of intense storms and droughts.

Tree Activity In the workbook, fill in the clouds and the roots of the Climate Change Tree Next to the cloud, write down some causes of climate change (E. g. Co 2 emissions from car exhausts) On the roots of the tree, write down the effects of climate change (e. g. Greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere and causing global warming)
