Climate Change causes Natural Orbital change The Earth
Climate Change causes Natural. Orbital change- The Earth has natural warming and cooling periods caused by the Milankovitch cycles or variations in the tilt and/or orbit of the Earth around the sun. Homework on Climate change 1. Go through and highlight important information. 2. Produce a revision card on the outline. 3. Answer the Exam question Volcanic eruption and the ash blocks out the sun. a greenhouse gas. Volcanic activity can block out the sun, reducing temperatures on the earth. This tends to be a shortterm impact. The fine droplets that result from conversion of sulphur dioxide to sulphuric acid act like tiny mirrors reflecting radiation from the sun, this can last much longer. What is climate change? The global climate has been changing since time began and will continue to into the future. The Earth’s temperature has been fluctuating for the last few hundreds of years. Since the 1950 s there has been a dramatic increase in the temperatures this is known as global warming. Solar output- there are fluctuations in the amount of radiation from the sun. If there is high amounts emitted there will be an increase in the Earth’s temperatures. Climate change Human. Deforestation as trees take in CO 2 so less trees means less CO 2 can be taken out of the atmosphere. Pollution from cars creating and enhancing Greenhouses gases. Farming increase methane, a greenhouse gas. Burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas will release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Dumping waste in landfill- when the waste decomposes it produces methane. Agriculture- agriculture practices lead to the release of nitrogen oxides into the atmopshere
