Definition: Visible vs. Concealed Damage Visible damage includes only that packaging that has obvious rips or tears, damaged or missing strapping or excessive deformation of the packaging caused by a fall or packing/storing over the prescribed number of units in height that causes concern and further immediate inspection. Concealed damage includes packaging that may have creases, sags and/or folds to the packaging that may have occur during normal handling. These minor packaging elements can easily go unnoticed and will constitute as concealed damage if the equipment is found to be damaged after opening the packaging.
