There was once a fairy princess called Jinx. She was a very lucky princess because she lived in the biggest house in the fairy village. She always wore the finest clothes and ate the tastiest food. Jinx could be rather naughty at times and she often got up to mischief. Nevertheless, the fairy folk still adored her.

On the day of the Fairy Fair Jinx woke up early, she decided to go and see what sort of mischief she could make. First, she found the jugs of lemonade, into each one she stirred a teaspoon full of salt.

Next, she sneaked into the tent where the sheep were waiting to be judged for the beauty of their wool, Jinx let them all out and they ran into a muddy field.

Finally, she was the judge at the dog show. She was supposed to choose the most beautiful dog to win the competition, but instead she chose the scruffiest dog to take the trophy.

When the fairy king arrived you can imagine his surprise when he saw unhappy children with salty lemonade, sheep covered in stinky mud and a scruffy dog with a huge trophy.

Meanwhile, Jinx was sitting quietly giggling to herself thinking about the mischief she had made. Suddenly, a dark shadow fell across her face and there stood her father. First, he smiled, and then he began to laugh so loudly! He lifted Jinx high onto his shoulders and began to dance the conga, followed by the dirty sheep, the scruffy dog, the children and every other fairy, elf and imp in the village. It was the best fairy fair ever!
