Rebekah’s Love Story (taken from Genesis chapter 24) • Abraham is a “type” of God the Father. • Isaac is a “type” of Jesus, the Son. • The Servant is a “type” of the Spirit. • Rebekah is a “type” of the Bride. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He shall glorify Me [Jesus]: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you. (John 16: 13 -14) 37
Esther’s Love Story (taken from Esther chapters 1 -2) • Ahasuerus is a “type” of Jesus. • Hegai is a “type” of the Spirit. • Esther is a “type” of the Bride. Esther’s Love Story (continued) (taken from Esther chapters 1 -2) • Ahasuerus is a “type” of Jesus. • Hegai is a “type” of the Spirit. • Esther is a “type” of the Bride. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3: 18) 39
