Key Card Access - Each exhibitor is provided with two electronic barn key cards, one for themselves, the other for a parent. - Additional barn keycards can be purchased for $15 each. - Barn Key Cards must be turned in upon completion of the project. Duty Stations - In addition to feeding, exercising, pen maintenance, etc. ; each exhibitor is required to complete an assigned duty station at least once daily. Failure to clean a duty station will result in a loss of points.

CCISD LIVESTOCK SHOW IS A DRAW SHOW • Steers: money is collected in late April / early May, steers arrive in May and are raised throughout the summer, fall, and beginning of winter. • Lambs/Goats/Swine: money is collected the first week of September, animals delivered in September/October and cared for through the show date in January. • Rabbits: RABBITS ARE NOT A DRAW Students pick their own breeder. (Notify breeders ASAP, does must be bred by October 19 th) Price / head may vary, purchase five – show best three, all rabbits are kept at home. Rabbit Show Entries Due: November 12 th Mrs. Phillips has a packet of information essential to all rabbit exhibitors.

Broilers (Chickens): Must purchase a minimum of 25 (1 box). Chicks will arrive at the West Barn on December, 6 th , and MUST BE picked up that afternoon. Chicks must be kept warm in the cold months (heating lamps, etc. ) until they are mature enough to be transferred to a barn pen. Chickens should already be banded. Exhibitors will start with 25 (or increments of) and cull periodically down to their five birds, exhibiting their best three. Broiler Show Entries are Due: 5 Sept. Turkeys: Purchase by box of 10 or 15. Estimated arrive is early October, notification of arrival date will be posted. Birds must be obtained the afternoon of arrival, no exceptions. Cull periodically until number is limited to best three, show best bird. Turkey Show Entries are Due: 5 Sept.
