CLBC Contractors • directly contracted home sharing providers • accredited service providers • service providers who do not require accreditation
CLBC’s intent is to have consistency in expectations and make sure that common basic standards are being met by all contracted service providers.

Does this apply to me? ü Home sharing providers who have another contract ü Behavioural consultants ü Respite providers who hold a contract with CLBC ü Agencies not accredited by CARF, COA, CQI
It does not apply to Ø direct funded supports Ø psychologists doing assessments Ø occupational therapy services Ø agencies undergoing accreditation in 2012

Why do we need standards? to ensure that: ü our practice requirements are consistent ü our service providers clearly understand their roles and responsibilities ü families and staff are able to assess whether service providers are meeting established standards
How were they developed? with service providers based on accreditation standards similar to Home Sharing

The Service Provider’s Role service providers are expected to: ü know they must meet the standards by March 2013 ü check the website for information updates ü register for a training event ü email the help desk for assistance ü submit compliance reports November 2012 & March 2013
The Analyst’s Role To ensure that service providers: ü know they must meet the standards by March 2013 ü are directed to the website ü register for a training event ü email the help desk for assistance ü submit their compliance report Nov. 2012 & March 2013. Analysts will monitor compliance in 2013
