First Steps in ROBOTC (Always check this first when opening a program) • Platform Type ( you will have to make sure you have selected 2 options) – Robot • Platform Type – VEX Robotics – VEX 2. 0 Cortex • Platform Type – Natural Language PLTW
VEX Cortex Download Method • Robot – VEX Cortex Communication Mode • USB only • Robot – Compiler Target • Physical Robot
Open Sample Program • File – Open Sample Program • PLTW – PLTW Template – File – Save As • Desktop • Click your name • Desktop – rename file and click save
Motor & Sensor Setup Menu • Click Icon for Motor Sensor Setup • Click Motor Tab (enter information for motors and type of motor – spelling matters) – – In port 1 type In port 6 type In port 7 type In port 10 type lmotor claw arm rmotor check box reverse motors Select Motor Type for all motors (VEX 393) Ensure all wires are correctly inserted in Cortex • Black wires face the outside of cortex • Red and White wires face inside of cortex
