Clauses 2 Types of Clauses: 1. ) Independent Clause- has a subject and predicate and can stand alone as a sentence. 2. ) Dependent Clause- also has a subject and a predicate, but it cannot stand alone as a sentence.

Complex Sentence �It is formed when an independent clause combines with a dependent clause.
