Classroom Rules • 1. Students are to bring all required materials and supplies to

Classroom Rules • 1. Students are to bring all required materials and supplies to class each day. • 2. Students are to be in their seats, quiet, and ready to work when the bell rings. • 3. Students are to follow directions the first time they are given. • 4. Students are to raise their hand to be recognized before speaking. • 5. Students are to remain in their seats unless given permission to get up. • 6. Students should not eat or chew gum in the classroom. Water is welcome!

I expect you to be quiet or talk very softly—better whisper– when allowed. • Treat others—teachers and students--how you want to be treated. • Respect learning environment of all here. If angry or frustrated, take it out on a piece of paper(write how you feel, or just crumple it) and throw it away.

(3 -ring binder, loose leaf paper, pencil, flash drive) *Always have a stack of clear note cards! a. Students may use a pencil or a pen (blue or black ink) b. Blue or black ink should be used formal writing assignments. c. Write legibly (clear so it is readable): if I cannot read it, I cannot grade it.

Upon entering, students should go to their assigned seats quietly. Begin working on the “Do Now "assignment. B. C. The teacher will dismiss the class Not The Bell. Do not pack anything until the teacher will announce that class is dismissed. Students are responsible for cleaning the area around their desks before leaving the room.

All materials must be in the right order just like on the board or in class binder. Notebooks will be checked and considered part of your classwork. If in doubt, consult class binder on the desk next to whiteboard (left side of class). I will also post it on my website

There is no bathroom breaks first and last 10 min of class. c. Absent more than five min- you are violating my rules, there will be consequences. Absent more than 10 min considered AWOL and result in administrative referral. d. If I shake my head, it means “It is not a good time to interrupt learning, ask me later. ”

Pencil Sharpening Students are to sharpen pencils upon entering the classroom If your lead breaks during class and if your have no other writing utensil, quietly go to the teacher’s table and get a pencil. Write your name in a corner on the board as a reminder to return borrowed materials. Do not disturb the class, please! • Trash a. Trash will be thrown away when your are dismissed from class. Keep it at your desk until you are dismissed. b. Pick up all paper around your desk before leaving the room.
