Classroom Procedures and Rules
Procedures Help our class run smoothly
Arriving in Class 1. Come in and sit down in your assigned seat 2. Look at the board for the Daily Spark or special instructions for the day.
Daily Sparks 1. Begin immediately when the bell rings 2. Do your daily spark on the bottom of your homework assignment. 3. When done sit quietly and wait for class to start 4. We will go over the daily spark in class when everyone is finished
Handing In Homework 1. After we have gone over the “Daily Spark” this is your chance to ask questions you had on the homework (1 -2 questions tops) 2. When we have gone over any questions you will hand your homework back 3. The back person in each row will hand in homework to the basket **If we need a stapler, it will be passed around during the “Daily Spark” time
Homework ALWAYS in pencil Heading should have: Name Section Number Page Number Assigned Questions SHOW ALL YOUR WORK
Hall Passes 1. Raise your hand ask Mrs. Moore to leave 2. When permission is given go to the door and fill out sign out sheet 3. Take appropriate pass 4. When you return Hang up Pass Fill out the rest of the sign out sheet Have a seat in your desk quietly
Tardy 1. Sign in at the door 2. Come in and sit down QUIETLY 3. Ask neighbors quietly what you missed 4. If you need any class materials raise your hand wait for Mrs. Moore to bring them to you
No Name on Homework will be hung on “No Name” board at front of the room Homework will remain on board until Friday of each week, then it will be thrown away
End of Class Pick up the garbage around your desk Mrs. Moore will excuse you when the bell rings if the garbage is picked up Stay seated until the bell rings
Missing School 1. If you miss a day check the Orange Bin for any assignments you missed 2. Get notes from a neighbor 3. Ask a neighbor to clarify what we did in class 4. If you are still confused ask Mrs. Moore to catch you up outside of class time
No Grade in the gradebook and I handed it in! 1. Check the no-name board If you find it write your name and hand it in 2. Check your handed back assignments If you find it hand it back in whethere is a grade on it or not 3. Ask Mrs. Moore outside of class time to solve the problem
Miss A Test Schedule a time with Mrs. Moore to make up the test that is out of class time within a week of missed test
Tests All tests should be finished in class. Students will be asked to stay until they finish Under special circumstances (IEP, 504, ect) arrangements will be made otherwise Tests will be written in pencil All work must be shown to earn credit
Rules Be Prepared: Bring a pencil, notebook, and book to class EVERYDAY; Be here on time Be Honest: Don’t Cheat, Tell me if you are struggling Be Respectful: No put-downs, no swearing, no hats; Don’t talk during notes; Clean up after yourself Be Motivated: Try your best every day; Have a positive attitude
