CHAMP Transition Leaving warm-up spots to get equipment. • Conversation: The students will be allowed to talk to each other as they are getting the equipment or materials needed for the activity but it should stay on topic and the transition should only take 10 -20 seconds anyways. • Help: The students can raise their hand if they have questions, but if we are in the gym they should feel free to shout a question if I am not speaking. • Activity: The students will leave their warm-up spots and move around the gym to get the instructed equipment and then they will move back to the instructed area in the gym with the equipment. • Movement: The students will obviously be moving so it is okay for them to do so and if they need to use the restroom or get a drink of water they can ask for permission to do so. • Participation: As soon as the instruction is given the students will get up and move towards the equipment and will bring them quickly to the instructed area to start the activity. If they are behaving inappropriately they will be taking too long or just standing there talking and not coming back with some equipment.
