Classroom Guidelines (Rules) Mrs. Nicholson’s 6 Grade ELA Class
Guideline # 1 Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned bellwork when the tardy bell rings.
Guideline # 2 Bring all books and materials to class and take them with you when you leave.
Guideline # 3 Treat each person in this room with dignity (worth/honor) and respect (admiration/detail).
Guideline # 4 Follow ALL directions the first time they are given.
Guideline # 5 Follow ALL procedures and policies as outlined in the Scarborough Model Middle School (SMMS) and Mobile County Public Schools (MCPS) handbook.
Special Guideline This classroom is a “Profanity Free Zone”, that means it is not welcomed in this room. Every thing I do is in your best interest, so please respect the “Profanity Free Zone” this school year!

Action Plan Continued Failure to return the plan will result in AFTER SCHOOL DETENTION ON FRIDAY (30 minutes)
Parent/Student/Teacher Conference 3 rd Warning A conference will be scheduled with ALL team teachers, the student, and the parent/guardian.
Discipline Referral 4 th Warning A discipline referral will be sent to administration to further evaluate the issue.
Severe Clause Any student who uses profanity, fights, damages school property (this includes property of the teacher and other students) will be immediately dealt with by administration.
