Student Behaviors (The P’s) • Prompt Ø Be prepared for daily lesson and notes. • Prepared Ø Have materials with you and know due dates. • Polite and Positive Participant Ø Speak in a normal tone of voice, and listen attentively. • Productive Ø Turn in work on time, and always do your best. • Problem Solver Ø Correct problems quickly and peacefully before they escalate. If you do not know it use the tools provide to look it up!

Show Respect • Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and practice strong moral values. • Treat all members of the school community and all visitors with politeness and respect. • Honor the ideas and opinions of others. • Offer to help. • Be responsible with property and belongings.

Responsibility for Coursework • Bring notebook, textbook, planner, and appropriate writing tools to class. • Know due dates, and submit all coursework on time. • All assignments are posted on the chalkboard and on your computer screens at the beginning of class.

Policies • Food and beverages are not allowed in the computer lab. • Please be in your seat when the bell rings, as class begins at that time. • NO GUM • Follow all dress code policies, if possible business casual or professional. • Absences Ø Each absence has a one-day grace period.

Grading • Grades are based on the accumulation of points. • Points are based on: Ø Lab participation Ø Completion of assignments (daily work) Ø Professionalism Ø Major projects, exams, Quizes and self-reflection • Our Grading Scale • • • 90 -100% 80 -89% 70 -79% 60 -69% Below 60% =A =B =C =D =F Grades are calculated on cumulative percentage and are rounded up whenever possible. Two grades per week are posted online and updated every Thursday.
