Achievements of Ancient Greece • Literature: Emergence of Greek plays. Tragedies and Comedies. Evolved out of religious festivals, took on social and moral issue. Explored the relationship between people and the gods. • Architecture: Convey balance and harmony of the universe. Famous for their columns. Also Greek sculpture was idealistic, showing the human form as perfect as they could • History: Herodotus became the first real historian. Instead of just recording local accounts of important events. He travelled to other places to get their accounts as well.
