PERSIA HISTORY � The Persian Empire was founded by Cyrus the Great. � Darius the Great later divided the empire into different provinces, each with their own laws.
PERSIA SOCIETY AND CULTURE � Zoroaster established a religion in which people’s own choices determine their fate � Zoroastrianism was a monotheistic worship of Ahura Mazda and sacred writings known as the Avesta. It established early beliefs in heaven, hell, and a final judgment.
PERSIA ACCOMPLISHMENTS � Standardized metal coins were used to promote trade and unify the empire. � The Royal Road connected the empire for over 1500 miles.

COMMERCIAL PROJECT � With DAY 2 other students who created brochures for the same civilization you did, you will create and perform a 30 -second commercial in which you will convince visitors to travel to your classical civilization. � Your commercial must include some history and important information about the civilization’s society, culture, and accomplishments. � You will be competing against your peers to perform the best commercial!
