INSTRUMENT MANAGEMENT CASE STUDY 13 Problem A new, unmanned plant was built about 15 minutes away from main plant. Two (2) instrument technicians responsible for five (5) plants. Solution Claros MSM was implemented along with seven (7) SC 1500 controllers and 21 instruments (LDO, Solitax, Nitratax, Phosphax, Amtax) using Wi. Fi communication and Profibus functionality. The district’s serves a population of 1. 4 M, treating 330 MGD. Solution Claros WIMS was implemented to collect data from all plants, integrated with SCADA, control systems and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). PROCESS MANAGEMENT CASE STUDY Problem A WWTP experienced operational challenges such as unpredictable sludge consistency, high polymer costs, and highly manual processes at the facility’s two centrifuges led to high costs and inefficient operations. Solution Claros RTC-SD (Sludge Dewatering) was installed to replace grab sampling in the feed sludge with realtime flow and solids measurements to better dose polymer.
