CLARINET AND TRUMPET Hi Year 4 and welcome to your first at home music lesson. I hope you will really enjoy it! You will already have received your welcome letter from YUMU giving your log in details. Once you have logged into YUMU, you will see this week’s Music Lesson. Please click on the lesson for your instrument. 1. Start with the song ‘Hands, Feet, Heart’. Click on Verse 1 first. You can slow the song down by using the ‘Tempo down’ icon at the bottom of the screen. When you’re happy with Verse 1, move on to Chorus 1 and Chorus 2. Finish by performing the Whole Song. You can choose to do any of these stages either with vocal, or with backing only.

Just like the song, you can change the tempo down whilst you learn it. Before you start, click on the ‘settings’ icon and click on ‘notes and letter names’. Listen to the tune first to get used to the timing. TRUMPETS Your first tune is ‘Summer on the Islands’. It’s pretty easy, but will be a good warm up.
