ANTHONY & DOROTHY’S TEAM For supporting Anthony and Dorothy throughout a difficult time, meaning they can continue to successfully share their home.
JOHN GINDER AND TEAM For patiently working through a challenging time and introducing lots of new members of staff to his service over the last 12 months.
ANDREW DODD For continuing to work when he should have been recuperating, giving his full support to his colleagues and the individuals he supports – we at Ridgeway are lucky to have him!!
ALEX HAMER For his kindness towards his housemate during a difficult period.

The nominations for the CLARE Award for: ENJOYMENT & FUN are:
BARBARA BRAGG For being the oldest person supported by Ordinary Lifestyles (at 88 years young). She is still very lively and is enthusiastic to try new things and to join in what is happening!
ANTHONY MARLEY For being able to fill his time with meaningful activities, e. g. making cards and looking things up on the internet. Anthony never complains of being bored
GARETH KERSWELL For trying new things. He’s enjoyed two holidays this year and attends lots of groups and is always seeking his next adventure!
JULIAN CORFIELD For his positive approach and eagerness to embrace new opportunities and activities including cycling, hiking and walking, swimming, cooking and discos

DOROTHY COCKIN For her ability to make friends in her local community, having the confidence to start conversations with people and maintain friendships.
MARIA BAXTER For helping in the community by doing voluntary work for 6 and a half years at Sale Animal Sanctuary caring for rabbits
MOHINDER SINGH & FAMILY For involving the support team and Mohinder’s friends in all aspects of Mohinder’s life as well as having welcomed several groups from Ordinary Lifestyles to the Sikh temple
CY & LEE’S TEAM For encouraging and maintaining existing family connections and developing new ones.

CLARE MILLERMAN For maintaining her voluntary office job at Ordinary Lifestyles for over 4 years despite really wanting to work in a hospital.
JOHN GINDER For creating the artwork that inspired Ordinary Lifestyles’ logo and the canvases to display our values in the office
ROBERT MCCORMACK For conquering his fear of aeroplanes and taking a flight to Dublin
KEITH DALTON For being the person supported by Ordinary Lifestyles for the longest time (since 1997!), closely followed by Robert Mc. Cormack.

RUARI ANDERSON For football at Friday’s cookery sessions, regularly walking 10, 000 steps on Mondays, motivating an individual with swimming and ensuring drivers are kept safe!
MICHELLE MCNAMARA For introducing several individuals (Sangeeta and Christine) to Slimming World where they have been introduced to healthy eating and have successfully lost weight
LAUREN WALLIS Forintroducingnew, freshandhomemade foods including breads and soups for Trish and Julie and supporting the ladies to go to her allotment and grow vegetables
SEAN TAYLOR fundraising/awareness his. For raising campaign for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) in which he shaved his hair that he’d been growing for 15 years!

PETER, COLIN & BARBARA For stating that they wish remain to living together at Ridgeway Road when Trafford Council visited them to suggest they move to alternative accommodation
THE INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES & STAFF AT IRWIN ROAD Forcommitment challenging in service provision and embracing the change to a new provider and thank you to Nicola Murphy for all of the support she has provided during this transition period
SAMANTHA ALLOTT challenging local advice and seeking legal For the authority’s decision to reduce her funding, as well as her persistence with the education system in order to secure the support required for her daughter.
GILLIAN, GAYNOR & THEIR TEAM For working hard and learning signs to improve day to day communication and choices
