Mission The CIM Users Group is dedicated to managing and communicating issues concerning the TC 57 IEC 61970 and 61968 standards and to serving as the primary means for developing consensus and consistency across the industry. CIMug Activities • Provide liaison with other standards groups and assess the impact of other standards on the form, scope and content of the CIM • Provide a central Repository for CIM issues, models, messages, and expertise • Promote the CIM, GID and other IEC TC 57 standards • Provide a single point of contact for CIM Model Management and issue resolution. • Provide awareness of CIM products and implementations • Provide a Help Desk

Technical Working Groups Oversight - Ed Dobrowolski CIMug Technical Working Group Functions The Technical Working Groups perform specific tasks of common interest to both the CIMug as a whole and to the individual members of the groups. Morran Utility Co-Chair : Cyril Effantin The scope of this working group is: Promote understanding and implementation of CIM UML modeling and message exchange; Exchange best practices when implementing CIM for EA); Support collaboration and awareness of methodologies for the derivation of messages; and Support collaboration and awareness of various tools. Model Exchange Vendor Co-Chair: Jay Briiton Utility Co-Chair : Vacant TF scope covers the use of CIM standards for exchange of power system modeling information among participants in interconnected transmission grids. Also serves as liaisons to NERC & ENTSO-E (formerly UCTE).
