CIEMAT contribution to CLIC Technical Development F Toral
CIEMAT contribution to CLIC Technical Development F. Toral on behalf of CIEMAT Accelerator Technology Group, CERN, CLIC workshop, 3/11/2011
Present developments (I): n Two double-length PETS are being produced for the first Two Beam Module: ¨ ¨ ¨ Mini-tank concept Two double choke compact couplers with water cooling RF absorbers (Si. C plates)
Present developments (II): n Copper rods: eight copper rods finished, measured and ultrasonic cleaned. Dimensional control is fine. n The coupler parts have been machined and sent to brazing. The vacuum tank has been finished. n
Future collaborations (CTC-TBM): n Present double length PETS are funded within EUCARD framework. n Additional funding for CLIC PETS is already available for 2012 -2013 ( 200 keuro) by means of a National Program of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. n CIEMAT is strongly interested to continue the contribution to future Two Beam Modules (mainly PETS, but other components may be considered). Final numbers are still under discussion with the funding agency, to be confirmed soon.
Future collaborations (CTC-SUR): n A Spanish Technological Centre, TEKNIKER, is very interested to participate in the development of the alignment systems for Two Beam Modules. They have been qualified within the Call for Tenders of the first Two Beam Module.
