CHRISTMAS VACATION

ORIENTATION. It was during our orientation for our work immersion, last December 17, 2018. Mr. Osman Jumalon (on the right side) the son of the founder and owner of the Jumalon Butterfly Sanctuary and Art Gallery discuss to us on what are things that we need to be accomplish in our immersion days. His discussion includes what we are going to do in accompanying the tourist who came to visit the place.

FIRST DAY OF WORK IMMERSION. Every morning, when we arrive at the sanctuary, it is our daily routine to clean the area. Picking or sweeping of the dried leaves and put them in the compost pit so that after the leaves will decompose it will serve as fertilizers for the food plant of the butterflies in the garden.

2 nd DAY OF MISA DE GALLO. Every dawn, the youth in our parish has a task hold a communion station so that it easy and not a hassle for the people to fall in line every time they are going to receive the body of Christ during the Eucharist. In the picture, I am with my co-PYCC(Parish Youth Coordinating Council).

LEPIDO MOSAIC. On the 5 th day of our work immersion, we are doing our own lepido mosaic or an art work made up of damage butterfly wings. Mr. Osman Jumalon and Niño Bautista are with us and serves as our mentor for that activity.

CAPTURING BUTTERFLIES. December 27, 2019, we are having our little adventure at Lipata, Minglanilla, Cebu. In the said place, we are going to collect different kinds of butterflies but our main target is the Indian Butterfly that is a mixture of orange and dark red in color. Sad to say we didn’t made it, but we collected around 80 butterflies almost 15 kinds of species.

BOOM NA BOOM SA SUGBU. Visiting this place in every Christmas vacation is very memorable because every year there are new rides present. In this visit we only rode three rides which includes the Galactic ride.
