MINE SUSTAINABILITY ● ● ● We focused on making the mine as self sustainable as possible. Solar power will be used to power LHD charging bays and our ore hoist system. Groundwater will be sent to a Reverse Osmosis System to purify water for workers, sanitation, and mining operations.
VENTILATION ● ● Ventilation will be supplied throughout the whole mine for safety purposes. Mine shaft and hoist staff will supply natural ventilation to the mine. Air will be forced into the mine air ducting system using large fans on the outside of the mine. Ducting will be ran in all mine pathways to supply mine with proper amount of fresh air.
SAFETY � Occupational Health and Workplace Safety Workers will spend most of their time in the Control Center � When workers go down deeper in the mine, higher ups will be watching from surveillance cameras � � Airborne Contamination As the mine is run on entirely electric and solar power, there is no contamination coming from machinery � Systems will be installed for the sole purpose of purifying the air of dust particles �
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT � Tours of the mine � Scholarship for local high school students � Filling in the subsidence ditch after mining is complete � Hole filled with cement and tailings mixture � Topsoil and greenery will be added on top of the mixture
