CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE: DARLA Aarushi Bafna 8 th Hour
THE STRANGER You run towards the short, skied figure. As you try to turn him on his back, you notice a river of blood rushing down his side. As you wonder what can cause so much blood, you hear a moan coming from the boy’s mouth, then another and another. Suddenly, he let’s out a high-pitched scream and lifts his head. Then, in a split second, his head jerks back and his whole body lays numb and silent. You check his pulse, his heart rate as slow as can be. KILL HIM AID HIM
KILL HIM You realize that his body can be used for meat. You rush to the house and pull a cleaver from the knife stand. You run back to the barn. As you look down at the body, you start to feel sorry for him. But nonetheless, you still bring down your knife. Soon, your ground is full of pieces, and you start to roast them. Just after your done eating, you feel sick to your stomach, and roll over. You die because of the ash and poison in his blood and skin. THE END THE STRANGER
AID HIM You think that his body can be used for labor, and rush to get a first-aid kit. You make sure that everything is inside, and run back to the barn. After you clean off the wound, you start to stitch it together. When you’re down you stand back and admire the work. A few minutes later, the boy comes to life. LET HIM STAY LET HIM GO
LET HIM STAY Your mom walks in the minute he comes to. She talks to him and tries to find information about him. Your mother decides to let him stay and help out around the house and you agree. For the next week, everything goes smoothly, and you even harvest a bunch of corn! Then, the first day of the second week, you realize that he’s missing. You look everywhere, and realize that most of the supplies are gone. You look outside and see a track of skis in the snow. There is no way your mother and you can survive with hardly any supplies. THE END AID HIM
LET HIM GO You make sure that his side is stitched up good, and realize that with his bad arm he can’t be a good harvester. So, you decide to let him go. You let him rest for a day while you give him a few supplies so that he can live for a few days more. Then, right as he leaves, a giant rainstorm comes straight at your house. The boy, named Alex, comes skiing back to your house. The storm builds and builds, higher and higher. LEAVE THE HOUSE STAY INSIDE
LEAVE THE HOUSE As the storm get closer and closer, you sprint inside of the house. You run around and grab as many supplies as possible. The storm look about 30 minutes out, not enough time. In under 5 minutes you’re packed to leave with your mother and Alex. You bring your ski’s along and go as fast as you can. Soon, the storm is far behind you, and it is starting to disperse. However, your house is ruined. But, you’re alive and safe with two other people next to you, and that’s all that matters. THE END
STAY INSIDE You run inside with Alex and your mom right behind you. You grab some basic needs and run downstairs. Everybody follows you, hands full. You lay out blankets and huddle together. After a few minutes, it seems like the storm is over. As you start to pack up, you hear wood cracking. Then a big CRASH! The whole house falls on top of you! With no supplies, you are left alone with nothing to live off of. THE END LET HIM GO
