The Giant Panda China’s national Animal ► ► ► ► Native to Central and Southern China Giant Pandas are two to three feet tall standing up. Females weigh up to 220 lbs, while males can weigh up to 250 lbs. There around 1, 600 Giant Pandas left in the wild. They are classified as endangered by World Conservation Union. A wild Pandas diet is 99% bamboo and 1% grass and small rodents. A healthy panda eats between 20 and 40 pounds of bamboo a day. Pandas have a very slow breeding rate. Although these creatures are very cute, they are just as dangerous as any other bear.
