From the family Yuekun has been a great find. Truthfully, our nine year old, son Alex does not enjoy learning Chinese. For the past 4 1/2 years it has been a struggle, especially since we, as Alex's parents don't speak much Chinese and really don't read/write Chinese characters. We have hired some of the Chinese school teachers to tutor, but those efforts haven't been very effective. Since we have been working with Yuekun, it has brought more peace to our household. He helps Alex with homework and will mix it up with him by playing Chinese chess. We have really enjoyed working with Yuekun.

We would just like to say that Wen has been a real treasure and that we have enjoyed her tremendously. Both Alexis and Landon have enjoyed and benefitted from the time they have spent with Wen learning Chinese and always look forward to their sessions. We hope that Wen has also benefitted from her time with us and that we have helped her in some capacity to improve her English, although; her English is already very good. We wish her the very best in all her endeavors.

Fan Yang has been doing a great job with our daughters Kathleen and Samantha. He always comes prepared and makes sure that the time he spends with the girls is productive. He is able to seamlessly incorporate his own material with the girls' Saturday school material in the Sunday morning tutoring sessions. At the same time, he is able to make the learning fun, and the girls certainly enjoy his company. She is very friendly and lively. She speaks with the kids in Chinese and still makes it fun for them. They have a good time with her and are still learning at the same time. Recently, she brought her camera that prints instant small pictures and took a lot of pictures with the kids. They had such a blast seeing the pictures develop right before their eyes. She always brings little treats for the kids which they enjoy a lot. We hope that she can continue to work with our kids for a long time and become their "big sister. "

Our sessions with Tianjiao do not involve what is normally called “tutoring. ” Because our son is so young (3 years), he doesn't need formal tutoring, but rather a Chinese speaker to encourage him to use the language. Most of the time Tianjiao and Cassius are sitting on the floor together playing with cars or trains, all the while speaking in Chinese. We have very much enjoyed having Tianjiao as our tutor/friend this fall and appreciated our dinner conversations about her life growing up in China as well as her experiences as a graduate student in the U. S. Cassius looks forward to seeing her every week and so does our one-year old daughter Solenne, who lights up when she sees Tianjiao Jie. Thank you!

Zhaolei has been coming to our home and tutoring Andres and Luna for a few months now. He has a lot of patience with them, keeps them focussed, and motivates them to do their homework. Luna says that she likes that he helps her do her homework. Andres says that he loves when he brings them yummy dinner and says that he is very thoughtful. They both agree that his tofu is the best thing they have ever eaten! Zhaolei has been a godsend and we appreciate all of the help he has given the kids. It has been great having him stay over for dinner and talking and teaching the kids about what life is like in China. We all will never forget the wonderful dinner we all went out to at the great mall of China. Zhaolei is like part of the family and know that he will always be a friend to us.

I have had the best time in Chinese. I spend my time every Sunday having fun in this class. She is the best tutor I could ever have. Thank you Kristen, Jaiden (JJ) Mathews Having Kristen as a Chinese Tutor has been amazing. She manages her time so well and she knows how to grab our attention when she needs it. She knows how to be serious and still know how to make the lesson fun. She is an amazing friend and mentor. She shows kindness to others all the time. Xinyang is a huge blessing to our family. She doesn't just help my kids learn Mandarin, she has developed a special relationship with them and makes learning fun! She has gone above and beyond what I ask to ensure the kids are learning and that they can continue to practice throughout the week. I am so thankful for this program and for Xinyang in particular because of the relationship she has with my children, and her dedication, trustworthiness and sweet spirit.
